FERGIE IS PREGNANT, HER FRIENDS HAVE CLAIMED
The singer is married to actor Josh Duhamel, and the pair have made no secret of their desire to start a family in the near future. They were rocked by allegations Josh had cheated on Fergie with a stripper last year, but have now worked through their problems and are looking to the future.
Friends of the 34-year-old are convinced she is already expecting a baby, although she is yet to confirm it. They insist she has been sporting a fuller figure of late, adding she has also stopped drinking alcohol and has relaxed her normally strict exercise regime. “She has definitely got more tummy lately. She suddenly cut out all alcohol and is taking way better care of herself,” one pal explained.
The star has been spotted wearing a series of loose-fitting tops in recent weeks, but sources insist it is becoming difficult to keep her growing belly under wraps. She also sparked speculation after a show in New York last month, when she refused to toast her performance with alcohol.
“Up until recently, she always adhered to a strict diet, but she seems like she’s eating for two now,” the source told National Enquirer magazine. “A few friends asked her point blank if she’s pregnant, but Fergie just giggled and said, ‘We’ll see!’ A baby would be a dream come true for her. Fergie and Josh may be getting a crash course in parenting very soon.”
The couple renewed their wedding vows in January, and claim they’re now closer than ever.

HILARY DUFF IS WRITING A SERIES OF YOUNG ADULT NOVELS
The 22-year-old has signed a deal with Simon & Schuster for the books, the first of which will hit stores on October 12. It will be called Elixir, and will follow photojournalist Clea Raymond as she travels the world for her career.
It is unknown what the other novels in the series will be about, or when they will be published.
Hilary is also working on a non-fiction book which is aimed at helping kids deal with divorce. The tome will be released in 2012. The star’s parents are no longer together, and she has previously spoken about the split in her songs Gypsy Woman and Stranger.
Hilary recently got engaged to her long-term boyfriend Mike Comrie. He proposed with a $1 million 14-carat ring while they were on holiday in Hawaii.

MO’NIQUE HAD TO CHOOSE A NEW DRESS JUST HOURS BEFORE THE OSCARS BECAUSE OF A ‘WARDROBE MALFUNCTION”
The 42-year-old Precious star was calm and gracious when she collected her best supporting actress prize at the prestigious awards on Sunday night but hours before, she was in the grips of a major fashion emergency. The actress wouldn’t reveal what went wrong with her planned gown, but it was bad enough for her to wear a blue Tadashi Shoji dress instead.
“I had a wardrobe malfunction,” she exclaimed on the red carpet. “It happened while I was getting dressed. We just chuckled and were like, ‘We got to find something new.’ I’m just so thankful and appreciative. This covers everything up in all the right places.”
Meryl Streep looked stunning in her white gown, which was designed by former Project Runway contestant Chris March. Chris “almost fainted” when Meryl called to ask him to make her Golden Globes outfit and was “beyond thrilled” when she called back weeks later to request a one-off Oscars gown.
“I was thrilled and honoured to get another call from Meryl,” he told People magazine. “She was dying to wear two matching Fred Leighton Art Deco black and diamond bracelets, and wanted something white and Old Hollywood glamour to go with them. Her only requirement was a fabulously plunging neckline. I think we really knocked it out of the park. She was all over the best-dressed lists. She is an absolute jewel!”
Charlize Theron was one star who made several appearances on worst-dressed lists. She wore a lilac strapless custom-made John Galliano for Dior gown with roses over her breasts. The gown was universally panned with E! Online remarking: “Yep, those are her lady lumps wrapped in lilac rosettes, courtesy of Dior Haute Couture. This one’s going down in the history books along with the swan dresses and pirate costumes.”
Miley Cyrus was at the other end of the spectrum, with her champagne-coloured Jenny Packham gown being praised by almost all fashion critics. Jenny was thrilled Miley wore the dress, which she had custom-designed based on a gown from her Spring/Summer 10 collection.
“Miley fell in love with a white dress from our Spring/Summer collection. She loves the softer Champagne colours so I created something especially for her,” Packham told Vogue. “She is young, beautiful and talented and I was honoured to be asked to create her special dress for the biggest fashion event of the year”.

KATHRYN BIGELOW MADE MOVIE HISTORY WHEN SHE BECAME THE FIRST FEMALE TO WIN THE BEST DIRECTOR HONOUR AT THE ACADEMY AWARDS LAST NIGHT
Her film, The Hurt Locker, won six of the nine prizes it was nominated for, including the coveted Best Motion Picture and Best Original Screenplay prizes.
Kathryn beat her ex-husband James Cameron in the Best Director category and seemed stunned when she took to the stage at Los Angeles’ Kodak Theatre to accept the golden statuette, before pulling herself together to thank America’s armed forces.
“There’s no other way to describe it - it’s the moment of a lifetime,” she said. “I dedicate this award to the men and women all over the world who wear a uniform: They are there for us, and we’re there for them.”
Cameron’s sci-fi epic Avatar, which also received nine nominations, only won three awards, for Best Visual Effects, Best Art Directing and Best Cinematography. The legendary director was not sad to be beaten by his ex-wife, claiming he was the one who told Kathryn to make the war drama in the first place.
“We don’t feel any sense of competition between ourselves,” Cameron told a pre-Oscars special on E! News. “Me and my current wife are big supporters of Kathryn’s work. We both couldn’t be more proud of what Kathryn has accomplished. We’re very supportive.
“I encouraged her to direct The Hurt Locker. It was a no-brainer that she should make that movie.”
Sandra Bullock took home the Best Actress award for her portrayal of a tough mother in American football drama The Blind Side, while Jeff Bridges won the Best Actor prize for his work in country music film Crazy Heart.
Mo’Nique triumphed in the Best Supporting Actress category for her performance in Precious, while the Best Supporting Actor nod went to Christoph Waltz for his role in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds.

GABOUREY SIDIBE USED FACEBOOK TO FIND OUT IF HER CRUSH HAD FEELINGS FOR HER
The actress is nominated for the Best Actress Oscar for her portrayal of an abused girl in movie Precious. The part has seen her catapulted into the public eye, and Gabourey has decided to take full advantage of the situation.
“I was like, Hi. Look, I’m famous now. Do you like me? Check Yes or No,’ ” she explained, when quizzed on how she flirted with the boy via the social networking site.
Although Gabourey was happy to give up her dating tips, she refused to be drawn on whether her unusual technique worked.
The 26-year-old has previously revealed she loves the way her life has changed over the last few months. As well as getting to meet famous actors and attending awards ceremonies the star fulfilled a lifelong dream – she spoke to Justin Timberlake.
“I met Justin Timberlake… I only have one more *NSyncer to meet and it’s JC – happens to be the one I want to marry,” she laughed.

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE HAS PUT HIS MUSIC CAREER ON HOLD TO STAR IN A NEW FILM OPPOSITE EX-GIRLFRIEND CAMERON DIAZ
The singer has reportedly signed on to play the lead role in new comedy Bad Teacher, which also stars Diaz. The Hollywood Reporter claims the blonde bombshell will play a “foul-mouthed gold-digging teacher” who tries to seduce her rich colleague, Timberlake, after being dumped by her boyfriend.
The film will include a number of love scenes, with sources unsure how Timberlake’s long-time girlfriend Jessica Biel and Diaz’s rumoured new lover Alex Rodriguez will react to them.
Timberlake and Diaz started dating shortly after they met at the Kid’s Choice Awards in 2003. They split in 2007, and Justin started dating Biel just months later.
Diaz only began dating baseball player Rodriguez recently, and has yet to confirm their relationship status.

NAOMI CAMPBELL IS WANTED FOR QUESTIONING BY THE POLICE
The supermodel’s limousine driver has alleged she punched and slapped him in the face while sitting in the back of the car as they drove through Manhattan. The man claims Naomi struck him with such force his head hit the steering wheel.
The driver had apparently been hired to chauffeur Naomi for the day. The incident took place at 1pm local time, with the driver pulling over in midtown Manhattan to speak to a traffic agent after it happened. It is reported police were then called, with Naomi fleeing the vehicle. Police spoke to the man and Naomi’s assistant, but are still trying to locate the model.
“The driver said a small bruise and swelling under his right eye was caused by her,” a police statement said. “We want to talk to her.”
The 39-year-old’s spokesperson has insisted the case is not as simple as is being made out, and insists Naomi is willing to co-operate with the legal systems.
“There shouldn’t be a rush to judgment. Naomi will cooperate voluntarily, and there is more to the story than meets the eye,” the spokesperson said.
It’s not the first time Naomi has had a brush with the law. She is famed for her fiery temper, and in 2000 she pleaded guilty to assaulting her assistant in Toronto with a phone. Six years later she was accused of hitting her housekeeper with a crystal-covered mobile phone. She was sentenced to community service in 2007 in relation to the incident. In 2008, she received 200 hours community service after she assaulted two police officers at London’s Heathrow airport.

LADY GAGA HAS TAKEN A VOW OF CELIBACY AFTER SPLITTING FROM HER BOYFRIEND
The outrageous singer is single after ending her relationship with boyfriend Matthew Williams earlier this year. She is currently on tour in Britain, and claims she will be spending all of her nights alone because she doesn’t have time to get to know someone new.
“I’m single,” the 23-year-old star said. “I haven’t got time to spend on the road to get to know anyone. Even Lady Gaga can be celibate, you don’t have to have sex to be loved.”
Although she wouldn’t reveal how long she plans to swear off sex, Gaga didn’t hesitate to make her negative feelings about the subject known. She thinks sex is used to control women and turn them into objects.
“Orgasms are the biggest obstacles for women,” she said. “Sex should be fun, beautiful and colourful but women get the short end of the stick. We’re just receivers. We can’t talk about sex, we can’t sing about sex.”
Gaga says she is proud of her decision to be celibate because it sets a good example for her young female fans, who mean “everything” to her.
“My fans are my roommates,” she said. “The thing that keeps me warm at night is my sense of self. When I see my beautiful fans I feel how much they protect and mean to me. It would be irresponsible if I didn’t protect them and teach young people to be self-expressive, to love yourself.”

ROBERT PATTINSON HAS ADMITTED HE IS DATING KRISTEN STEWART
The pair met when they starred in vampire drama Twilight, and have been forced to deny they are an item ever since. They both attended the BAFTA Film Awards in London on Sunday night, and while they took pains not to be photographed together, Robert confessed they are a couple.
“It is extremely difficult but we are together, yes,” he told British newspaper The Sun. “We can’t arrive at the same time because of the fans. It goes crazy. This was supposed to be a public appearance as a couple but it’s impossible. We are here together and it’s a public event but it’s not easy. We have to do all this stuff to avoid attention.”
Sitting apart from each other at the event eventually became too much for Robert, 23, and 19-year-old Kristen. They reportedly snubbed the traditional dinner after the ceremony to head back to their hotel for some “quality” time together. As the main courses were being served, the pair dashed away hand-in-hand and jumped into a taxi.
“They went to such lengths to pretend they weren’t an item, then acted shocked when they were caught out running down the corridors holding hands and into the cab,” a source told British newspaper The Daily Mirror. “It was obvious from the way they were stealing little looks at each other that they were dying to get back to their hotel so they could spend some time together.”
Catherine Hardwicke, who directed the first movie in the Twilight franchise, has previously confirmed the pair are dating, saying they got together while shooting recent release New Moon.

CHERYL COLE HAS CONFIRMED SHE IS SPLITTING FROM HER HUSBAND ASHLEY
The Girls Aloud singer has been left devastated by allegations her soccer star spouse was unfaithful to her on a number of occasions during their three-and-a-half year marriage. Hours after she returned to the UK today after working on her solo material in America, she revealed she was calling time on the relationship. She had sparked rumours her marriage was on the rocks after she was seen without her wedding ring in the wake of the latest reports Ashley had cheated on her.
Her spokesman released the following statement this afternoon: “Cheryl Cole is separating from her husband Ashley Cole. Cheryl asks the media to respect her privacy during this difficult time. We have no further comment to make.”
Ashley was seen leaving the marital home in Hurtmore, Surrey, in the early hours of this morning.
A representative for Girls Aloud has said Cheryl’s bandmates are supporting the 26-year-old star in private.
Cheryl met Ashley in 2004 and the pair went on to marry in a lavish ceremony two years later.
In 2008, Ashley was accused of sleeping with a hairdresser after a drunken night out. Cheryl removed her wedding band during the scandal, and didn’t wear it again for eight months.

JANET JACKSON HAS AGREED TO JOIN THE JACKSON 5 WORLD TOUR LATER THIS YEAR
The singer will take the place of her late brother Michael in the group, following his death last year. Michael’s brothers Jermaine, Marlon, Tito and Jackie have been keen to perform a series of shows in their brother’s honour since his untimely passing, but had previously struggled to find someone to take the pop icon’s place.
Janet has now stepped in, after deciding a tour would be a fitting tribute to her brother. “Janet will be joining us. We’re all talking about it now. She has never played with us before so that will be very special. She definitely wants to do it,” Jermaine said while completing a promotional tour of Australia. “We had a conference call and Janet has agreed to join us on tour.”
Jermaine explained the details are still be ironed out, but hinted the shows could use some of the sets Michael was planning to debut during his This Is It comeback tour. The ‘King of Pop’ was working on the performances, due to take place in London, at the time of his death. “We own that stage,” Jermaine said.
Michael died after taking a cocktail of drugs, including powerful anaesthetic Propofol. His personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray has been charged with involuntary manslaughter over the death, but denies any wrongdoing.
Jermaine and the rest of the Jackson family have been open about their feelings towards Murray, claiming he should have been charged with the more serious offence of second degree murder. Jermaine claims he has important information about his brother’s death, but has to keep it under wraps. “Murray didn’t act alone, it’s all going to come out.” he said.
