Tips for buying eyeshadow
How do you know what colour eyeshadow to choose? Should you match it to your eye colour?
Matching your eyeshadow exactly to your eye colour will make your eyes disappear, and that’s not what you want. You want to make your eyes pop!
If you have brown eyes you’re lucky, you can pretty much wear anything, but deep purples look amazing. For blue eyes give rich warm browns and warm taupes a go. Grey eyes mean working charcoal - try cool browns and purple. Golden brown, warm taupes and soft peaches will compliment green and hazel eyes.
I recommend buying a product that has a few complimentary shades, like Maybelline’s new Eye Studio Silk Glam Quads ($22.99), to get you started. Have some fun with the different colours then branch out when you’re confident.
