Product: Maybelline New York Color Sensational Crème Gloss, $17.99.
What it does: The newest addition to the Maybelline gloss family’s claim to fame is sophisticated color and shine from pure pigments, and a luxurious feel thanks to nourishing honey nectar.
First impressions: A little on the sticky side but the colour does look great.
Performance: This gloss is so full of pigment I didn’t even need to apply lipstick underneath, which I always do to get the colour intensity I like. The shine was great too, but you pay for that with the sticky formula.
Application tips: Don’t apply to chapped lips, the gloss will stick to the dry skin and look terrible. Gently exfoliate your lips first, slap on some balm and you’re good to go.
To sum it up… My lips actually looked like the models in the ad above. Shine perfection! Just don’t wear your hair out on a windy day - it’ll stick right to it.
