Beauty Spy: Murad Acne Spot Treatment

Murad’s Acne Spot Treatment was put to the test by our Beauty Spy Christina. Find out if it stopped her spots below.

murad acne spot treatment

Product Name: Murad Acne Spot Treatment, $40.00.

What it does: This tiny but mighty spot treatment has sulfur and salicylic acid to directly target the spot under the skin.

First impressions: I have tried many spot treatments and many fall short, but i’m a fan of Murad products so i’m hopeful.

Performance: It’s not a miracle cream - my spot didn’t vanish overnight - but it did help the spot clear up well and there was a big improvement after 2 days of using it.

Application tips: I found it to be a little drying on my skin, so I wouldn’t recommend using it for longer than you need to.

To sum it up… The high level of sulfur teamed with salicylic acid is what makes this product stand out. It might dry your skin a little, but it will also send your spot packing pretty quickly, and that’s more important to me.

I booked a consultation at a Caci skin clinic and they recommended their Murad products and I got a cleanser, exfoliator, moisturiser and a target spot cream for $68. I used it daily at first but it really did dry my skin out. When I put make up on, my skin would just flake! So I now do it every other day and it’s getting better. It definitely helps with spots anyway but I recommend a consulation first, which you can get by Googleing Caci skin clinic’s in your area and phoning up.
