How To: Perfect Winged Eyeliner

Anyone can try winged eyeliner, it can be tricky but practise makes perfect! Follow our simple guidelines for this chic, feline look:
Step 1: Invest in a good liquid eyeliner, either a pen or a gel. Gel eyeliners are good for beginners, while pens require a slightly steadier hand.
Step 2: Using your liquid eyeliner, create a thick line across your top lashline. Keep as close to your lashes as possible and make the line as thick and as dark as you wish.
Step 3: From the outer corner of your eye - and the bottom of the thick line you have created - extend a thinner line outwards like a small flick. This line can be as short or long as you desire, depending on the look you want.
Step 4: From the very end of the flick, create another line {just as thin} and connect this to the thick line you originally created. How far along the thick line you connect it is up to you. The higher you go, the bigger the winged area will be.
Step 5: You have now created a little corner area which needs to be filled in. Colour in this area with your liquid eyeliner. Try to wait 10 - 15 seconds before blinking, as liquid eyeliner can be very wet and may smudge.
Step 6: Complete your look with a thick, black, lengthening mascara and voila! Go and bat those lashes!
