Get Taylor Swift’s major curls

Taylor SwiftThe look: Major curls

At school Taylor Swift hated her ringlets, but that soon changed: “I realised if you’re lucky enough to have something that makes you different, embrace it.” At 24/7 Girl we’re all about working with what you’ve got, and with the right product and a bit of time, you can learn to love yours too!

How to get it:

1. After washing your hair, press sections into a towel to remove moisture. Rubbing wet hair can make it frizzy.

2. Bring out your hair’s natural texture by scrunching a lightweight curl defining cream with heat protection properties through your locks.

3. To get maximum volume, flip your hair over and dry using a diffuser, then finish with a blast of cool air all over.

4. Curl small sections of your hair with a curling iron. Leave each section in the iron for around 10 secs then slide the iron down the section of hair to release.

5. Work some shine serum or spray between your hands then brush your palms through your hair to stretch the curls and smooth flyaways.

Stylist Tip: When using a diffuser try and touch your hair as little as possible. Just let strands sit in the bowl and dry on their own.

Product picksWhat to use:

Kérastase Oléo-Curl Crème, $42.00. It’s pretty pricey, but a little goes a long way, and it’s worth every penny!

John Frieda 100% Shine Glossing Mist, $19.99. This ultra-light, non-greasy formula smoothes flyaways and delivers a burst of high-gloss shine.
