| Use oil blotting paper! It removes the shine of oil on your skin WITHOUT disturbing your make-up Posted by Inupup2000 "on" 06/02 "at"10:21 PM |

my tip is that if you feel the need to wear makeup on a daily basis to use non oily moisturiser underneath to make it a) easier to remove and b) to act as a mask on your skin Posted by Shayd "on" 06/02 "at"04:50 PM |

Im inlove with nivea products i just recently stoped using Nivea young daily cleanser because of winter and the coldness plus scrub everyday causes dry patches on my skin. so atm im using Loreal perfect clean cream clenser and its awsome! my skin feels amazing afterwards. I still use nivea toner and moisturiser and i havnt had a breakout in a long time. The only thing the loreal cleanser doesnt really help with (or that ive noticed yet) it my blackheads my skin is horribly pron to them, the nivea young clenser was awsome for black heads also. I try wash my face morning and night but deffinatly every morning before going to work! Posted by BettinaFrances "on" 05/30 "at"02:07 PM |

Just make sure you drink a lot of water weeks before you ball, or start now its really helpful ! While clean and clear I find is the best face wash, try taking fish oil or flax seed oil pills, they do wonders for not only your skin but your hair and nails too ! the only thing that seems to help me clear unwanted pimples and zits is just by using clean $ clear and by drinking lots and lots of water for a whole week before a major event or ball Posted by joycem1237 "on" 04/18 "at"08:16 AM |

Remember! Beauty sleep is very important! But don’t oversleep. Find out you tolerance for sleep beforehand, whether it be 8 hours of 10 hours. As far as skin care goes I think clinique 3 step system is the best I’ve tried. It’s a bit pricey but you definitely see the effects of using it. Although, you really can’t beat water. Just drink heaps of water in the weeks leading up to the ball and you should be good to go. Hope this helps anyone. Posted by 29478 "on" 04/15 "at"10:57 PM |
| It’s so important, I think, to invest in a beauty regime. While Clean & Clear has a great skincare system, you can create your own! I have very sensitive skin, so it took me a few years before I found what I currently use as my beauty essentials to keep my skin clear.
I go with the basic cleanser, toner, moisturizer routine: one in the morning, one at night. Girls with more sensitive skin could just cleanse and tone once a day, but moisturizer is a must. It’s best to use a moisturizer that is also a sunscreen as that way you will be protecting yourself against sun damage (products with SPF 15 and above). In the mornings, I use Neutrogena Cream Cleanser, Dove Toner and Olay Complete Defence. The Cream Cleanser is so mild but so effective. I don’t scrub very hard because that damages your skin but washing out the natural oils and you’ll end up with even worse breakouts. You don’t need a lot of the Cream Cleanser but it really works and makes your skin feel squeaky clean. The Dove Toner I came across by a stroke of luck. It was actually my sister’s. But, as sisterly affection goes, we often steal. I was desperate and I swiped hers. Jackpot! It smells lovely (all Dove products too), you don’t need a lot, doesn’t sting my skin but feels nice and tingly. I had been searching for a good moisturizer for a long time. I am prone to mild allergic reactions which leave my skin lumpy and rashy - not very attractive. I decided to give the Olay Complete Defence a try because the adverts were everywhere, and it was perfect. It has a good SPF content which means I have minimal sun damage. You can use as much or as little as often as you like because even though it’s oily when it comes out of the bottle, it rubs in so fast and doesn’t leave a shiny sheen on your face as some moisturizers do. You also don’t really need a lot so one small bottle lasts you ages. I use different products at night. The Neutrogena Cream Cleanser I don’t change (although sometimes I don’t use it if I feel that my skin’s a little dry lately). But I use the Avene Cleanance Lotion. This is designed for sensitive skin and is great at night when my face is dry after a whole day of being blown at by the wind. I follow that up with a liquid sleeping mask by The Face Shop. It’s Raspberry Slim & Lift. This is a Korean label, but it says to tone my face while I sleep and really works very well. So maybe instead of moisturizer at nighttime, a sleeping mask would be better. A good tip is to work fast. Always wash and cleanse your face with warm water. This way your pores will open up so more clogged pores will be washed clean. Work fast while your pores are still open and tone and moisturize so your pores receive the best treatment. Be gentle with your skin. It’s your biggest organ and one of your first lines of defence when it comes to virus infiltration, so treat it well. Don’t scrub away at it like a madman. Recently I tried the Clinique three step care system. I must say, the liquid soap (which is really like a cleanser) is extremely mild. I can’t say I felt anything which was… different. The Clarifying Lotion (toner) works wonderfully although I will say it made my eyes water when I applied too close to them. The moisturizer is very, very oily. I applied it at night and my face was shiny for the whole of the next day still. The results are wonderful (clear, soft skin), but I just don’t love the moisturizer like I do my Olay Complete Defence. Clear skin gives you confidence. Everyone has a different skin type and it takes a long time before you find what you love and what works best. A skincare regime is so important and you have to stick with it. Always wash off your makeup or it will become stale, clog your pores, and VOILA! Breakout. When you do get a breakout, do not panic. First use a spoon that was left in the freezer to hold against the spot to lighten the redness. The lightly cover with concealer and a sprinkle of powder (do not pile on the cover up. It will look very fake and obvious). If it still looks bad just dot it with a black eyeliner and it becomes a beauty mark! Posted by Lady Rye "on" 04/15 "at"06:41 PM |

These products work wonders to help your skin for such occasions but I’d definitely recommend that for the last couple of weeks leading up to your ball you should sleep and eat well, drink loads of water and don’t stress yourself out over planning the perfect night - sure to feel great and have beautiful skin if your healthy all around Posted by 20341 "on" 04/11 "at"01:26 AM |

No oily foods for about two weeks before , you know, the rare treats like chips, deepfried foods basically - junk food . I’ve found not eating these foods to really help clear up my skin as well as a goods nights sleep and lots of veggies!. Try not to stress, I know exams and tests are coming up take breathers and make sure you get sleep,my pimples always pop up around exam time from stress. And for when your skin gets reeeeeeeaallly oily I (rarely) use an antibacterial soap to wash my face with the clean and clear face wash, this seems to help but be warned doing this does dry out your skin-alot . Don’t do it often and definitely follow up with the clean and clear skin-balancing moisturiser, it doesn’t leave the greasy feeling on your skin and is absorbed easily and really helps the overall tone of your face. A big thing to remember on the night is deodorant! No one wants to be hot, sticky and smelly Posted by Ellie_xox "on" 04/05 "at"06:37 PM |
| Don’t change your beauty regime a few days before your ball, you don’t know how your skin will react. Keep to products that are simple to use and soft on your skin. Harsh products when you don;t need them will dry your skin out which in turn will make it oily as your skin tries to compensate for the dryness. Fish oil tablets are good for your skin but results are long term so you’ll want to start this asap! And water is always good not only for your skin but your general health!
