Get January Jones’ winged shadow look!
Part smokey, part cat eye, winged shadow is the perfect makeup partner to the strong, 80s inspired clothing that’s popping up in stores this season.
Eyes: Apply a shimmering shadow from the inner corner to the middle of your eye, on the top and bottom lash lines. Meet the shadow in the center of your eye with a darker shadow, blending the two together, then extend the darker colour to the outer corner of your eyes. Fade it out to meet (but not touch!) the end of your eyebrow, and blend the edges to avoid a ‘sharp’ point. Finish with mascara and full, perfectly groomed brows.

Skin: Choose a foundation that works with your skin type - creamy if your skin is dry and powder if you have an oily complexion. Apply foundation to your entire face, and blend down the neck for continuity. A natural glow can be created by applying a warm blush along the cheekbone, toward the temples.

Lips: The usual rule applies with this look - bold eyes need subtle lips. Try a pale peach, soft pink or nude shimmer.
