Why didn’t he tell me he was leaving?
Q. My boyfriend moved recently. The thing is he told his ex and friends first, then in the afternoon he told me. All he said was “sorry”, then he left. Why did he do that?
A. It can be hard to leave the people we care most about. It’s also hard to break up with someone (I’m assuming from what you’ve said that you guys broke up when he moved), and it sounds like your boyfriend might find it especially tough!
That’s no excuse for leaving you so abruptly though. Giving you no time to adjust is really uncool, unless the move happened ultra suddenly - like, ULTRA suddenly. Whatever the case, you can be mad at him, or you can look at it from his perspective: he’s likely to be feeling the same pain you do, but at least you have your friends around you. He’s left his behind! Him leaving like this isn’t necessarily a reflection of how he feels about you, it’s probably just his way of coping with hard emotional stuff.
It doesn’t make it any easier to adjust to the fact he’s not around, but make sure you hang out with friends and be kind to yourself. It’s horrible to have someone leave you, especially when it comes out of the blue!

Agreed that males do handle things in silly ways but also that he is probably experiencing the same pain that you are. It would have been better if he had told you earlier then you could have dealt with it together but men are often not into the sharing of emotions. He probably did not want you to see him upset or to see you upset knowing that he had caused it so that could be why he left it to the last minute. If you still think your relationship could go somewhere then you should definately call him and let him know how you feel about it!! Posted by eeram_anna "on" 02/06 "at"12:12 PM |
| its a typical male thing! males intend too handle situations like this in stupid ways. they choose the easiest way to get themselves out, but doesnt realise how it makes you feel. trust me on this one, ive been through a whole lot with my boyfriend im with now, weve been together for 2 years, & have been through soooo many trials!! Dont worry, blessings usually come in disguises so thank him for doing you a favour and teaching you how some people can be. Have a good cry then open your heart again and the right one will come along….straight Up Posted by Lydz007 "on" 02/03 "at"10:50 AM |
