Benefits of Omega-3
Some of the known health benefits of omega-3 essential fatty acids include reducing symptoms of depression, ADHD and hypertension and lowering the risk of heart disease and stroke.
They can also improve brain function, are great for healthy skin and hair and balance out our bodies’ levels of another essential type of fatty acid - omega-6s! When we have too much omega-6 (found in foods like eggs, meat and poultry etc.) in our diet, and not enough omega-3s our risk of heart disease can rise. There are a number of other benefits of including omega-3s in our diet, and it’s easy to do!
Food sources of omega-3 include:
*salmon, tuna and sardines
*walnuts
*flaxseeds
*wholegrains
*broccoli
*cauliflower
*spinach
Tip: Taking a supplement like fish oil - or flaxseed oil or evening primrose oil if you’re vegetarian or vegan - can be helpful.

i dont like fish so iv started taking fish oil capsules. it really has improved my concentration, i started taking them to help me study and it makes a real difference Posted by ang1991 "on" 10/30 "at"01:54 PM |

I love salmon, but can only have a tiny bit - or I feel a bit nauseated an hour or so later (must be all those good oils!). I tried taking a fish oil supplement - but would end up having fishy burps for the rest of the day! yuk. Posted by Starlight "on" 10/28 "at"03:14 PM |
| haha i remember my mum used to make me take codliver oil when i was little and one time i spat it out but she just smacked me and made me take another spoon :S . but ive never liked fish and if youre like me , you should try salmon and avocado sushi ! the salmon is raw so doesnt taste fishy , its so yum (:(: Posted by kelsiyum!
