On the catwalk a lot of the models are pale at the moment because in europe it’s winter atm. Winter colours look better on pale skin, which most people have in winter.
Interesting how tans became in- having a tan used to mean that you were a lower class person- someone who had to work in the sun for a living. Pale people were rich and didn’t have to labor under the sun!
Tans are a very summer thing and the catwalk clothes right now are beginning to fall into the Winter season category. Winter clothes are most in winter colours that suit pale skin. I think that it doesnt matter, tans look good on certain skin types, but if you have pale skin and you use fake tan..
You look orange, and it is definintly not fashionable
I think it depends on the person - some people suit paler skin while others suit a deep golden tan. With ginger/red hair - really pale skin looks great, dark hair suits both I think and blondes always look good with at least a little tan but more is better!
Neither is in or out of fashion, it depends on the person and their natural colouring. Pale skin is coming in more though because people are beginning to realise how dangerous it can be to tan yourself too much.
