a $10.40 minimum wage starting out rate is being proposed by national. Does anyone else have a problem with this??

Definitely. Labour is promising $14-15 [can’t remember exactly] minimum wage… we’ll see what happens ae ?

$10.40 is crap. No one deserves to slave away for that amount if you think about it you work one whole hour to buy what um a block of chese. It seems like an extreme i disagree with it.

However $15 is also crap. Businesses are not going to want to hire someone who isnt qualified, or straight from school for $15 when they are already paying someone with years of experience for the same amount. Small businesses are going to crumble as they will not be able to afford staff.

Leave it as it is. If you want to fix the problem lower the prices of living.
