So, im doing my speech on Negative sides of money and have done greed, the recession, murder. But im not too sure what is another negative reason? please help!!!!!!

Laziness. 
My Grandparents had few energy saving devices, everything was done by toil & sweat.
Now I see (even quite young) children, seemingly with no imagination asking for handouts from parents because they’re bored & want something to do & also people who have no idea how to cook for themselves as they’ve been brought up on or found convenience in fast foods.  You never told my grandparents you were bored that would result in a chore being handed out which really was boring and fast food to us was fish and chips once a week if we’d behaved   How things have changed with increasing affluence.
Also and maybe this is a bit off subject but so many girls these days seem to be looking for a rich guy.  Like they don’t actually develop a personality because all they focus on is looking a certain way to a certain type of person & that one day the magic man with the golden ticket is going to whisk them away from this beige life into a Follywood fantasy life.  An awful lot of people must dream their lives away with wishing instead of actions.
Loss of innocence too, the days of kids making up games together at the local park seem to be disappearing, parks where I live are always empty.  Instead kids are watching tv and playing computer games,  a lot of it unsupervised and full of adult humour that supposedly goes over kids heads.  All because we have a little more expendable income - which considering so many are addicted to ciggies and drinking and that they’re not saving anything for a rainy day doesn’t seem so expendable to me.  OMG I just keep thinking of things but I’m heading into rant land so will quit before I bore you   Anyway, hope this helps.

The rich get richer while the poor stay poor. Its so unfair. this really ticks me off. Kim Kardashians wedding cost her basically nothing because all the designers gave her stuff to get their brand out there. On top of that she sold her wedding to entertainment tonight for $17million. Due to her only being married for 72 days it worked out as getting $10,000 per hour! just to be married!!  It happens all the time rich people are given oppurtunities and free stuff so they stay on top, where as normal people have to work so hard for a living.

And the poor want to be like the rich and spend so much of their hard earned on stuff that sends money straight back into the hands of the rich (who ‘needs’ a Kardashian pillowcase?).  Until the average citizen stops comfort spending, starts saving for the future and invests in New Zealand by buying locally, holidaying locally etc it will be tough for us, our children and most probably our grand-children. 
“Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves” is a saying my grandparents used to say, but you don’t really hear it anymore, I wonder why
