it is if its ‘heavy’ but to help relieve the pain- whenever you get the pains drink a cup of water quickly…it works great.

Being a nurse, yes periods can be extremely painful and can affect women in many different ways. I would make an appointment to see your GP immediately as in this day and age there is no need to be in such extreme pain.

uggh I used to have it soo bad I used to faint and vomit from the pain, cramps would be so bad i would be in sweats.  I went to the doctor and hormonal contraception pretty much stopped the pain within 2 months.

No, it’s definitely not normal! I didn’t have periods for most of my twenties and thirties and as a result I’ve researched and had a lot of information come my way about what is and isn’t ‘normal’. Please don’t just accept it; find a doctor or nurse who will take you seriously. Ask them about endometriosis - is it possible this is what you have? Don’t give up until you have found someone to help you because it’s obviously making your life not as good as it could be and you really don’t want to spend between now and menopause on heavy-duty painkillers. Best of luck to you!

ughh no, screaming is not normal.. if your in pain go see a gp or something, hot water bottles work well and also try cat stretches cos it relieves pain from your lower body (google it raspberry) uuumm yeah that should work but if your screaming from pain so much its kinda common sense its not normal….

Heelloo . this happened to my mother when she was young and she found out she was dosed with indometriouses , which is a horriable thing to live with and you all have all the symptoms the outcome is a massive possibility of not been able to have children . unless you get help from the right person . my mum went to a homeopath smile

Yupp, fully had that. Its a little better now that im on the pill but pretty painful still. Ive been tested for endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome but both tests have come back negative but maybe get tested for those because its very easy to fix. Also try magnesium?! It helps sooo much and milo and chocolate does too :D
