I was just wondering if anybody else out there goes to a school that doesn’t allow them to wear nail polish?
Well, I do! I think it’s really unfair and unnecessary. It’s not as if it’s offending anybody, and I think we should at least be able to express something of ourselves.
At my school we also wear uniform’s which restrict our expression of personal style even more.
Just wondering, feel free to share your thoughts.
omg same my sch doesnt let us wear nail polish and its like so unfair? bcos its not afecting our learning or anything, i get told to take it off almost everyday, its so annoying. !
When I was at school (a good three years ago now) there was a ban on nail polish.
That school was so gay.. We weren’t allowed to take our shoes off unless we were on the field, hair-ties HAD to be navy blue, and we weren’t allowed two colours in our hair.
I got kicked out because I had facial piercings, and refused to take them out.
That school would’ve been sooo much better if it weren’t for all the weird rules.
My school doesnt allow nail polish either!
If were caught with it we have to go to the student office and we get given a paper towel and nail polish remover and they make us scrub until theres none on our nails. Really i dont see what the problem is with students wearing nail polish, OR having multiple piercings, dyed hair, diffrent colour hair ties! Its not like it affects our learning in fact we might learn better if we got to be ourselves!!
Nail polish DOES NOT affect our education! But then again in saying that, Im homeschooled. LOL.
Still though, The teachers must think it affects our education! When it dont.
I danno, Nail polish chipped does look pretty tatty, i think its just so your uniform looks tidy, Now having your ears pierced only once is a bit mean, and having to take them out if you have them done twice!
I go to an all girls school, we are not allowed nail polish, make-up, hair down or jewelery. I think it’s kinda dumb because I obviously don’t see how any of these things affect the ability to learn and get an education. But then again the school is just trying to uphold old values. So idk :/
were not allowed make up or nail polish at school which sucks!
LIke I can understand them not wanting all of there students slathered in really thick make up and having bright and rude nails (Lindsey lohan style) but whats wrong with something subtle?
My teachers dumb and tells me too take it off but i ignore him,. coz other teachers let us wear it. its not fair, because it doesnt stop us from learning, there job is to teach us. not make all these rules.. i get told off coz my hair is just past my shoulders and apparently its not good to have your hair down, we cant have hair bows. (i do anyway)
We cant have jewelery we HAVE to have black or white hairtyes !
Its stupid and just a waste of time, and we also have uniforms so we just look like robots! :/
