How to grow your hair long

grow your hair long

Q. How do you grow your hair long? Every time I try I get annoyed and cut it all off again!

A. Growing your hair out doesn’t have to be a challenge. In fact, it’s the best time to have some fun!

Playing with shapes and colours on your journey to long locks will reduce the temptation to throw it all in and reach for the scissors when you hit that annoying ‘in-between’ stage. Getting regular trims helps to prevent split ends and aids in fast growth, so don’t avoid the hairdresser. Tell your stylist about your plans to grow your hair, and work with them to keep it in great shape while it gets to the length you’re happy with.

What are your top tips for growing your hair long? Tell us below!

Its annoying, more always falls out when its longer, so it goes all thing and flat.

your hair is just water and protien so, drink like a fish and eat some unroasted unsalted almonds or brazil nuts (: also scalp massages stimulate circulation which means your body focuses on your hair more. exercise helps with this too (:

Mine is FINALLY growing long! I’ve heard that helps is getting trims because it means there is less weight on the scalp, and it will grow! Also massaging the scalp? Not sure if it works, but it’s worth a try right? raspberry

Long hair starts from within plus a few secrets.  Eat lots of natural omegas like Salmon, nuts and oils, less meat and less starchy rubbish.  Slice some apple into a salad and drizzle with avocado oil. Have it 4 or 5 times a week with some salmon.  Snack on natural nuts and drink fresh juices.  6 months of that and you’ll have a gorgeous natural sheen to your hair.  If you don’t exercise, start!  Even a simple walk is better than nothing.  Water is a must for hydration and junk food hunger pangs.  2 years of simple (possibly drastic for some like myself) changes such as the above and you’ll have long healthy hair below your waistline within 2 years.  My hair is 72cms at the longest point and has been this length for over 3 years.  I visit the hairdresser twice a year for a trim only and I wash my hair every second day.  Once a week I give my trestles an olive oil 20min heat treatment.  That’s it.  I don’t use the salon $30.00 shampoos and conditioners.  They’re a complete waste of time and YOUR money!!!  A Tresemme hair system works well for most hair types.  That Organics line works ok too PLUS it’s more natural than most other brands on the shelf.

Treat your body like a temple, not like a rollercoaster!  Beauty literally starts from within.

I’m growing my hair out at the moment. Sometimes I get so frustrated that I just want to go to the hairdressers and ask for a boy cut, or just chop it all off my self. But I guess patience is the key. I’ve been growing my hair out for about 11 months now, and I’m going for another 11 months.

I grew my hair out for 11 yeas and it got really heavy but if you want your hair to be long and healthy tell your hairdresser because i got mine cut really short after growing it so im growing out again but my hairdresser keeps cutting it too short.

I keep a picture of me when my hair was long as my motivation. And if you haven’t had it long before you could get plenty of pics off the net grin the tip for talking to your hairdresser is good too, so they know what your plans are!

Am in need for a trim, this must be the reason it is slowing down the process of growing long flowy hair!

totally agree with the answer, I’ve grown my hair out many times over the years (ex hairdresser, it’s what we do…) As longs as regular trims happen, you get to have new style after new style as it grows out smile
