Why you shouldn’t cut out dairy

Why you shouldn’t cut out dairy

Dairy products like milk and yoghurt are important sources of calcium, so - unless you’re intolerant or allergic - eliminating them from your diet without replacing them with another source of calcium is a bad idea!

Calcium is essential to good bone health, and to avoid the risk of developing health problems like osteoporosis, which women are especially at risk of developing. Having said that, dairy products can be treated with hormones and other nasties, so it pays to educate yourself about the brands you buy, and their production policies and processes. For example: the health of the cows they get their milk from effectively affects the health of those who eat their products!

Important: If you’re vegan or choose to eliminate dairy products for other reasons, be sure to supplement your diet with calcium from other sources.

Interesting fact Dairy Products HELP lose weight!!!! The calcium molecules bind with the fat molecules in the food you eat. This group of fat and calcium can’t be absorbed by the body so you excrete it right away!!! Proven fact. Those that eat dairy with their meal can excrete up to twice the amount of fat as those eating the exact same meal (same fat content) without the dairy!! So ladies drink up!!!

For a while back i decided to try the dairy free diet to lose some weight.. it lasted quite a long time as i’m not so keen on it anyway. it happened to give me a calcium deficiency which made my bones weak and my hair look terrible. I broke my elbow during this time when they took blood tests to see what was going on. now i have calcium at least twice a day and my hair looks amazing. its really good for you so if your thinking of cutting down on something to lose weight go for the bread and cereals… and the best way to do this is by eating a healthy diet and most importantly EXERCISE!!! smile .Xx

i love soy milk. however, i only drink cow’s milk now because my parents say it costs too much…. :(

Soy milk is a good choice instead of cow’s milk. If you think the taste or smell of soy is weird, almond milk is a pretty delicious alternative. Also, Greek and Icelandic strained yogurts are healthier compared to normal yogurts and have more active bacteria in them to help with digestive systems and lady stuff.
