Make your own energy bars
Recipe Ingredients
- 11/2 cups chopped mixed dried fruits, nuts and seeds (apricots, raisins, pineapple, pine nuts, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, slivered almonds – whatever takes your fancy)
- 11/2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup wholemeal flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup canola oil
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup apple juice
Recipe Instructions
1. Pre-heat the oven to 170c. Line a 20cm square cake tin with baking paper.
2. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and press into the pan. Bake for 40 minutes or until golden. Leave to cool and cut into bars or squares.
