$5000 makes Bryony unstoppable!
Eighteen year old viola player Bryony Gibson-Cornish is over the moon at becoming 24/7 Girl and Cool Charm 2011 Unstoppable Girl. She picked up a $5,000 prize package and is well on her way to becoming an international sensation. We got to know her between rehearsals!
247G: Bryony, what does becoming 24/7 Girl’s Unstoppable Girl mean you you?
Bryony:
I am honored to have been named 247girl’s Unstoppable Girl for 2011 - especially as a viola player (yes, it’s the bigger version of a violin) as I can raise awareness of the viola as an instrument and promote music as a career. I would like to say a huge thank you to 247Girl and all of the sponsors who made this grant and prize package possible. It means the world to me and will help me fulfill my dreams of studying in the United States!
I can book flights now for my auditions in the USA with the grant sponsored by Cool Charm. I really look forward to traveling to the United States in February to audition for New England Conservatory in Boston, the Juilliard School in New York and Eastman School of Music in Rochester. These schools are very prestigious and I look forward to being part of the world-class music making when I move the United States in September next year.
24/7 Girl: You’ve also picked up prizes from Farmers, Cool Charm, Clean & Clear and Puma - happy?
Bryony: Absolutely! I’m excited about the hair, makeup and body package as I have to present myself in he best possible light when I am onstage. Believe it or not, but fitness is a big part of a musician’s success too, so the workout wardrobe from Puma will definitely come in handy. Of course, I am looking forward to the year’s supply of Cool Charm and Clean & Clear products as I love smelling good and having clear skin. I am also looking forward to my shopping spree at Farmers and I have earmarked some beautiful performance dresses to try on.
247Girl: Any advice for aspiring 24/7 Girls?
Bryony: I was blown away by the other competitors, and would like to wish them all the best of luck with their dreams and careers. I hope that we can be an inspiration to all of 247girl’s readers out there to follow their dreams and persevere with their talents.
