Get rid of red skin

q:My mum’s always going on about how green neutralises redness on your skin. I tried this with a pale green eye shadow but the results weren’t wearable in public! Do you know what she’s going on about? Is it a specific product I need to get? Veronica D

CliniqueGreen does neutralise redness, but if you’re trying to get rid of redness on the eye then I would recommend using an eye shadow base in a warm bone or white colour. If you struggle with pimples then using a green conclealer will help to get rid of the redness. I’d recommend Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions Clearing Concealer. It’s medicated so it helps clear spots as well as covering them, and it comes it three shades, including ‘corrective green’.

Shiseido moisture mist products are really good for covering redness, they can cost a bit but they last ages and actually work.

What about a red nose? Mine always seems to be slighty red and it’s soo embarressing but I don’t have any concealer, is there any good way to hide things like redness and spots when you don’t have concealer?
