Pro tips for the perfect pedicure
It’s time to dust off your summer sandals and get the jandals back out! But before you do, it’s time to get those toes fit to face the world! These tips for the perfect pedi will get you sorted.
1. Give your feet a little love before getting to work. Remove old nail polish, clean with a soft (old!) toothbrush and liquid soap, then soak your feet for 5 mins in a bucket of warm water with foot salts.
2. A pedicure isn’t just about getting your toe nails looking pretty. Your feet work hard for you, and they can show it. Smooth any rough spots around the heels and the balls of your feet with a foot file or pumice and some liquid soap.
3. To keep your nails looking good for longer apply a base coat, two coats of colour and a top coat.
4. To get the perfect coverage, paint a line of colour down the middle of the nail, then paint another band on each side.
5. Wrap a small amount of cotton onto the end of a toothpick and soak in nail polish remover. Use this to trace around the outside of your nail, removing any rebellious colour as you go.
