NYC Blog: A Kiwi Hangi in New Hampshire
So last weekend I had my first experience of a hangi - in New London, New Hampshire! Drove up with friends from New York and we built a real deal hangi from scratch - well, I wasn’t so involved with the actual building of the hangi, but I very much enjoyed waiting for it to cook, and eating it! We had pork, beef and chicken, along with a bunch of veggies and I think we were all pretty surprised at how well it turned out. Check out the photos!
Thanks to Jake and Eden for the photos.

Digging out hot stones to put in the hangi pit.

Layering cabbage leaves over the hot stones.

In goes the kai…

Success!
