NYC Blog: Lips in San Fran… and a Hurricane in New York?
Man, Steph and I have had a great week tripping around - drove to San Diego last weekend, then back to LA for a few more days of balmy good times and Lips shows before heading up the coast to Monterey… and now we’re in San Francisco! San Fran’s probably the place that feels most like NZ to me of the places I’ve visited in the US - although that could be because it’s 13°C in the middle of summer, everyone’s wearing hoodies and jackets and we’re actually drinking awesome coffee (at Ritual in the Mission District).
It’s a little weird to be over here too, considering a hurricane may or may not rip through NYC in the next 24 hours. They’re evacuating parts of the city, and my friends are all stocking up on supplies and… waiting to see what happens. Hoping Irene has a change of heart and heads out to sea…
