Dating a younger guy
Is dating a younger guy ok? It seems like it’s fine for girls to date older guys but not the other way around… I’m at uni and I really like a guy that’s in year 13 at my old school. Would it be weird if I started going out with him?
Not at all! Dating a younger guy is fine. I’ve known plenty of girls who have dated younger guys… and no one has given a toss about it!! Long gone are the days where only guys were able to date younger girls and not the other way around. Society has changed, and you shouldn’t feel like there is anything at all wrong with dating someone of any age, race, culture or gender.
It’s common
One of my best friends who is a year older than me has dated guys two years younger than me. In fact… I can’t remember the last guy she dated who was older than her! And I’ve never heard anyone make any comment about it being weird.
Go for it
If this guy is a great guy, then go for it. In the end it really doesn’t matter what other people think… chances are the only person who will even notice the age difference is you. You’ve found someone who you makes you happy and you genuinely enjoy being around. People’s opinions can only affect you so much, and it will only be weird if you have a problem with it. Sarah xx

in your situation! Noway aslong as your not embarrassed about it no one should have a problem about it! my mate when out with a guy who was still at school and she finished two years before that, he had been held back by one year but she was in the same situation as you! ive been through the same thing sortof, i was yr13 and bf was yr12, he wore uniform, i didnt it was wierd and awkward for us to hang out at school and everything but we pushed through it, we still togther, he older then me but because of the school year diffenece ppl thought i was the older one, but who really cares?? no one, it doesnt matter Posted by keledoll "on" 07/09 "at"08:00 PM |
