Why do girls crave chocolate during periods?
Come on girls – lets admit it, periods are a great excuse to grab a chocy bar when your heading past your local dairy! But is it all in our head or do we really crave chocolate during our monthly….?
Studies have shown many different findings on this topic, some say we use it as an excuse, others as a way to cheer us up, some even say that cravings are caused by iron deficiency!
Most commonly though most girls go for the Cadburys as a pick me up. Chocolate has endorphins which essentially make us happy! Another tip for a period pick me up – exercise! Going for a walk, or playing a game of tennis with a pal is also said to give off the same endorphins!
